Social Services
Social services aim is to help vulnerable adults from all ages and backgrounds live as safely and independently as possible.
People that may be able to get help from social services include people with bad health, physical disabilities, or mental health problems.
Sometimes family members will step in to help care for people in need, they are known by Social Services as carers, and are entitled to apply for a number of special services.
You will have to go through what is called a Òcommunity care assessment where information is gathered on your situation and a decision is made to see if you qualify to receive help from social services.
